Gow’s were required to fabricate a Glovebox Containment Suite. This involved an internal structural steel containment fabricated and assembled at our facility then disassembled and assembled onsite. Due to various specific site conditions there was a controlled assembly and the work was overseen by a number of external parties. Two containers were modified to create fan and filter rooms in accordance with all specifications and client requirements and positioned externally to the building
Scope of Project
- Ducting and all associated reducers, elbows etc were fabricated at our facility and fitted onsite between the Gloveboxes and the filter and fan rooms running from internal to external destination with appropriate sealing at wall penetrations
- All fabrications were done at our Lybster facility and shipped to site for assembly and testing.
- Our approved subcontractors for E&I and civil work were utilised as part of the project
- All works were completed in accordance with the drawings, specifications, 3D models.
- Material sourcing and traceability was undertaken by our technical buyer
- All items provided in accordance with the specified tolerances and measurements
- Incorporation of all client free issue items
- Undertake the appropriate quality control checks throughout the fabrication period and
provide the associated documentation following completion of the pallet fabrication
- Provision of associated Method Statements / Risk Assessments, Lifting Plans, etc for the on-site installation
- Installation of pre-fabricated ducting, pipe and associated fittings and instrumentation
- Commissioning of the fitted system was undertaken by Gow’s under clients criteria.
- Provision of Life Time Quality records and on-site quality analysis complete with red-lined drawings as may be required
- All work was concluded as per the client’s schedule requirements
